2025–2026 Annual Report · Arizona School of Ministry
The Year in Numbers
The Headline Story
48 of 70 credential candidates at the 2026 Network Conference were ASOM students — 69% overall, climbing higher at every level of the credential ladder.
Kinyarwandan-language cohort
Our Kinyarwandan-speaking cohort completed their Ordained level this year — successfully finishing all three years of ASOM in Kinyarwandan. This is a first for ASOM: a complete Certified → Licensed → Ordained pipeline delivered end-to-end in a third language. These ministers represent the fruit of a multi-year investment in the African church community in Arizona, and a model for how ASOM can equip emerging language communities going forward.
3 / 3 Years Complete
Inaugural Event
We launched ASOM Elevate, our first-ever one-day value-adding seminar. Dozens of students from across Arizona came together to be mentored by AZAG leaders and pastors — high-density teaching, direct mentorship, and real time with the leaders shaping the network. The energy in the room and the feedback from students confirm Elevate becomes a fixture of the ASOM calendar going forward.
303 students from 120+ churches — a strong level of church partnership across ASOM. 1,500+ registrations sustained engagement at peak levels even as our footprint expanded. 21 distinct cohorts met in-person and online across the state. And for the first time, instruction was delivered in three languages: English, Spanish, and Kinyarwandan.
$20,000+ in scholarships were awarded to high school students, African pastors, and emerging church planters — direct investment in the next generation of ministers. 17 ASOM Certificates were issued to ethnic ministers who have completed the educational requirements for credentialing while they navigate immigration and visa processes.
55 ministry practicums completed — every one represents real, hands-on ministry strengthening a local church across Arizona. Our students are not just learning; they are leading.
The 2026–2027 academic year launches with a fully revamped curriculum, redesigned study guides and practicum packets in both English and Spanish, updated textbooks at every level, and streamlined Google Classroom delivery. We are entering the new year better resourced and better organized than at any point in ASOM's history.
